Target Components Hosts Successful Open Day

Target Components, one of the UK’s leading independent distributors of IT products and services, invited the public to its annual Open Day on September 20^th 2024, at The Village Hotel – Leeds South. The event brought together industry professionals, vendors, and customers to explore the latest technological innovations and foster connections.

The Open Day, now a staple in the distributor’s calendar, featured a packed agenda of product demonstrations, insightful seminars, and networking opportunities. Attendees had the chance to engage directly with vendors, gain insights into the latest trends in IT distribution, and explore new products that are set to shape the industry in the coming year.

The exhibition showcased the latest offerings from leading brands like Antec, LOGIX, and prevo, with live product demonstrations from piXL and Dahua. One of the day’s highlights was the live PC building session, presented by Target’s own PC Build Services, which gave attendees an up-close look at the high-quality of the builds in real time.

A series of workshops ran throughout the day, featuring invaluable insights and practical knowledge from a range of experts. Mint HR led a discussion on outsourced HR for micro businesses and SMEs, while Lenovo provided hands-on demonstrations of their latest laptops. A Q&A session with Target Components allowed attendees to engage directly with the company, covering key questions about the IT industry.

One of the most popular attractions was the Cyber Security Escape Room organised by West Yorkshire Police. Designed to raise awareness of online threats, this interactive experience equipped participants with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves, their businesses, and their customers in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Target also used the event to raise awareness and support for Prostate Cancer UK. A raffle held throughout the day generated £1,080 for the charity, with over £1,000 worth of prizes donated by Kingston Technology, Seagate, LOGIX, piXL, DPD, and Dahua.

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from exhibitors and attendees alike. Many praised the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, which fostered the ideal environment for learning and networking.
