Charity Raffle at Target Open Day Raises Over £1000 for Prostate Cancer UK

A charity raffle held during the Target Open Day has raised £1,080 in support of Prostate Cancer UK. The IT trade event, which combined a 40+ stand exhibition with business workshops and a relaxed networking opportunity, drew a large crowd and highlighted the Target community's generosity and commitment to supporting men’s health.

The Target Open Day provided the perfect setting for the raffle, offering attendees a chance to explore the latest technology, network with industry professionals, and participate in the fundraiser. The raffle featured an array of exciting prizes totalling over £1000 of products, generously donated by Kingston Technology, Seagate, LOGIX, piXL, Target, DPD and Dahua who offered a 65” Interactive Whiteboard worth over £600 on its own, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.

Attendees had the opportunity to engage with leading tech brands, attend demonstrations, and learn about new products. The raffle added a charitable element to the day, with all proceeds going directly to Prostate Cancer UK to support their vital work in research, education, and patient care.

The funds raised will support Prostate Cancer UK's mission to combat the most common cancer in men in the UK, funding ground-breaking research and providing crucial support services to those affected by the disease.

Target expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed, from the businesses that donated prizes to the attendees who bought raffle tickets. As Target MD, Michael Lawrence, said during the evening’s entertainment, “The reason we chose Prostate Cancer UK as our charity this year is because of the first-hand experience we’ve had of the support they provide. The Open Day has been a fantastic example of how the tech community can come together for such a good cause. The support received was superb and Target is proud to be contributing to Prostate Cancer UK’s essential work.”
