Target Components has updated its customer product feeds service with all-new features, including templates for e-commerce websites.
The distributor’s unique free-to-use Flexible Product Feeds system allows customers to take product data, pricing and images directly from Target to populate their own websites and internal systems. Unlike many other feed systems, Target’s Flexible Product Feeds allow customers to select the information they want to receive, rather than having to filter out the information they require from a much larger database, as well as being able to choose pricing, product markups and how the data is delivered.
The updated Flexible Product Feeds service goes a stage further and now offers a range of templates for the most popular e-commerce platforms such as Magneto, Shopify, Squarespace, WooCommerce and Wix, allowing Target’s customers to populate their websites more easily, in a predetermined format.
In addition, Target customers can now customise their feeds down to product level, including pricing and delivery costs. They can also choose to include or omit multiple images, brands and even the filter fields associated with the product on the Target website, as well as how the data is delivered, which now includes FTP and SFTP options.
Target’s Managing Director, Paul Cubbage, explained: “We launched the Flexible Product Feeds service years ago, after feedback from customers wanting to populate their websites without having to manually enter product information, but with the ability to choose the products they wanted to display. Since then, e-commerce platforms have enabled everyone, from the smallest to the largest etailers, to make their websites look great. Our Flexible Product Feeds then do all the heavy-lifting in terms of populating those websites, acting like a virtual warehouse where resellers can sell products without having to have them in stock.”
He continued: “We also provide an intuitive wizard to guide users through the feed process which, like the rest of the Target site, is mobile-friendly, so Flexible Product Feeds and other Target Services can be managed at your convenience.”
“Combined with other Target Services like the In-Store PC Builder PC configurator and Direct Delivery drop-shipping service, we’re offering all our customers the tools they need to succeed online, regardless of how much they spend,” Cubbage continued. “These services are all completely free to use and come as part of your Target account.”
Target has also updated its XML Services to provide real-time stock and pricing information that for integration into existing internal systems, as well as now offering XML invoicing.
